![]() Would I wear it on a night out and replace it for my Estee Lauder Double Wear? Definitely not! When would I wear this foundation? It’s great for daytime wear or perhaps even for going out for supper or date night. Do I like the foundation? Yes! Would I rush out to buy it again? Probably not. Overall, my thoughts on the foundation so far are a bit mixed. Unfortunately, I can’t say how long this foundation can actually last as I haven’t yet worn it long enough. ![]() Shortly after that photo was taken, I ended up going for a shower and taking all my makeup off. ![]() As you can see in the photo above around my chin area the foundation began getting patchy and clinged to my blemishes. Once I got to the 5 hour mark, the foundation began to start separating in my t-zone area where I get oily. Some of my blemishes were also starting to become a little bit more visible too! ![]() I was starting to get a little shiny after the 3rd hour of wearing Fenty foundation. None of my natural oils were coming through. I personally thought it still looked very good. Below is after 2 hours of wearing Fenty foundation: I then started checking in on my face after 2 hours to see how the appearance of the foundation had changed. I was really quite pleased with the finished look of the foundation. I used an ELF pressed translucent powder to lightly set my face.Īs you can see from the un-edited photo above, using a Samsung S8 camera, the end result is quite good. I had previously seen on other blogger’s reviews that they said they did not need to set this foundation with powder, however for me personally with my oily skin, I still felt I needed to set this foundation. So for this area, I used a beauty blender and the foundation applied much easier on my nose and also on my forehead area too! The foundation is said to be medium coverage but its definitely buildable to full coverage. This gave me that fuller coverage look that I like to go for. Next up, I applied the Pro Filtr foundation (£26) using a flat kabuki brush and used stippling motions to apply the foundation to my skin. I absolutely love this product and would certainly recommend it as a primer, even if you didn’t want to buy the foundation. Instantly it mattified my face and smoothed out my pores. I applied the Fenty Pro Filtr Instant Retouch Primer (£24) firstly, which applies to the skin like dream. Genius!įor comparison, I am NC20 in MAC Studio Fix Fluid foundation, and as I mentioned above, in Fenty I am shade 180. However, the girls on the Fenty counter in Harvey Nichols are completely aware of this and they took this into consideration when they colour matched me. So this makes guessing your shade online when ordering extremely difficult to do accurately. If you’ve seen any of the YouTube video reviews about this foundation like I did, then you’ll know that this foundation is prone to “drying down” or “oxidising” to a darker colour. I got colour matched to the shade 180 in store at Harvey Nichols, which I strongly advise you to do if you are thinking about buying this foundation. The collection includes 40 shades of foundation and a mattifying primer. It’s available to buy from Harvey Nichols in the UK or you can purchase directly from It released in the UK on the 9th September 2017 and within a day or so, I placed my first order. If you haven’t heard of the singer Rihanna’s beauty cosmetic line then you’ve been living under a rock! It’s currently the most talked about brand on the planet right now. ![]()
